On this page are examples of EVP recordings from Joe Giaquinto's paranormal investigations with author and historian, Kerriann Flanagan Brosky. EVPs are believed to be the voices that spirits leave on recording devices (such as audio and video recorders.)
White noise EVP recordings are when spirits use the background noise in a room to modulate their voices on. The process is similar to how an AM radio transmitter sends talk and music on radio waves through the air.
Ghost box recordings are when spirits influence the scanning of a radio dial as it sweeps from one radio station to another. The spirits then stop the scanning at just the right moment when a particular person is speaking on a talk radio show. The words, letters or sounds the spirits grab off the radio can then be used to converse with us.
These EVPs are featured in Kerriann's books on ghosts, including her latest book, Haunted Long Island Mysteries.
